Not to be confused with KT, a character from a later draft of Merrily We Roll Along.
Kate is a minor character in Merrily We Roll Along (Sondheim/Furth) She only shows up in scripts prior to the 1985 revision.[1]
She is married to Alex, and her daughter is Meg Kincaid. However, both these details are not in some drafts. She isn't given a name in the 1982 licensed script.
In the cut song "Darling!" It is revealed that she was Gussie's close friend in 1975.
She appears to have a crush on Frank in the May 1981 working draft Rich and Happy scene. In the same draft, she mentions marrying Alex because he's bigger than life.
